My happy place is on Lisianski Island in Hawaii. Lisianski is located in the northwestern part of the Neva Shoal, an extensive reef system that is about 979 square kilometers. Lisianski Island is a volcanic island that is undergoing erosion and has a depression between two tall sand dunes. It is believed that at one time Lisianski was a lagoon.
